CourseChalk for Windows
The same app as the website, in its own window on your PC. Save puts the meet file on your computer, and your season pass works in it.
The first download is on its way. Until then, use CourseChalk in your browser — it does the same work.
Install it
- Open the file you downloaded, CourseChalk-Setup.
- Windows may say “Windows protected your PC”. The installer is not signed yet. Click More info, then Run anyway.
- It installs for you alone, with no administrator password, and opens. Next time, find CourseChalk in the Start menu or on the desktop.
A school computer can block programs that are not signed. If yours does, use the web app.
- In the app, click Sign in at the top right, then Sign in with your browser.
- Your browser opens coursechalk.com. Sign in with Google or with your email and password, as on the website.
- Click Connect the app, then go back to CourseChalk. Your season pass is on, and each new meet starts with your school and contact details.
Signing in is optional. You can also paste the key from your pass email. To disconnect the app, sign out in the app, or end “CourseChalk app on Windows” on Your account.
Updates
The app checks coursechalk.com when it starts. A new version downloads in the background — a bar at the top shows how far it has got — and installs the next time you close CourseChalk, or at once if you click Restart now. Leave the app open until the download finishes; you can keep working. Your meet files are not touched.
How it differs from the web app
- Save writes the meet file to a folder you choose. Saving meets online, My meets and autosave are in the web app only, for now.
- Packets print through the app itself, with no browser print dialog.
- The map and address search still need the internet.
