Refunds

Effective 4 September 2026

Thirty days, no questions asked. Email ethanbores@gmail.com within thirty days of buying a season pass and I will refund it in full. You do not have to explain, and I will not try to talk you out of it.

If you do not recognize the charge

CourseChalk is a service of ChalkBox. On your card statement the charge reads COURSECHALK; on your receipt and invoice the business name is ChalkBox, and the sale is shown as sold through Stripe. All three are the same $49 season pass.

If that is what you are looking at and it still does not look right, email me before you call your bank. It is faster, and I would rather hear about it.

Why it is this simple

A season pass is $49. Arguing with you about it would cost me more than the refund, and a coach who felt trapped tells the story at the next association meeting. There is no version of this where being difficult works out for me.

You also get the whole app for free before you ever pay, so you should already know whether it does what you need. If the paid part disappointed you, that is a fair thing to want your money back over.

How to ask

Send one email to ethanbores@gmail.com from the address you bought with, or tell me which address you used. A sentence is plenty. "Refund, please" is plenty.

I process it the same day I read it. The money returns to the card you paid with, and your bank usually posts it in five to ten business days โ€” that part is theirs, not mine.

Stripe is the merchant of record for the sale, so you can also raise it with Stripe directly using the link on your receipt. Stripe can refund a purchase within sixty days on its own. Either route works and neither is wrong; emailing me is usually faster and I would rather hear about the problem.

What happens to your key

It stops being valid, and printed sheets go back to carrying the contact line. Nothing else changes. The app keeps working, your saved meet plans keep opening, and every packet you already printed stays printed.

After thirty days

Ask anyway. The thirty days is a promise, not a wall โ€” it is the point past which I stop guaranteeing yes, not the point where I start saying no. If the app broke on you, if it never worked on your machine, or if you bought two by accident in October, email me and we will sort it out.

Two cases where the answer is always yes, whenever you notice:

Please email before you dispute

If you file a chargeback with your bank it takes weeks, it goes through a process neither of us controls, and you may end up with less than a straight refund would have given you. I have never refused a refund. Email first and the money comes back faster.

Schools, purchase orders and invoices

If your district paid by purchase order or check rather than by card, the same thirty days applies. Email me and I will issue a credit or a refund check, whichever your business office prefers, and I will send whatever paperwork they need to close it out.

Card purchases produce an itemized invoice automatically, which is usually what a business office wants for reimbursement. If yours needs something else โ€” a W-9, a quote before the purchase, a purchase order number on the paperwork โ€” ask and you will have it the same day.

Renewals

There are none, and there is nothing to cancel. A season pass expires on 31 July and simply stops. You will not be charged again, you will not get a surprise renewal, and there is no card on file. If you want another season, you buy one.
